Skis Now, Rafts Next: Spring in SoCal Starts at the Top šļøā”ļøš¶
Second season at Mammoth + what to do after the snow melts.

Slush Turns & Summer Dreams: Mammothās Second Season Has Arrived! šæšø
Think the season ends in April?
Not at Mammoth. Spring skiing is where the real legends are made. Long days, soft snow, fewer crowds, and vibes so good they feel illegal.
But here's the thingāMammothās āsecond seasonā isnāt just some sleepy send-off. Itās the mountainās last hurrah, and itās packed with parties, races, wild traditions, and a splash or two of pond water (more on that in a sec š).
šļø Whatās Happening After April 10?
If you're planning one last trip, or three, mark these down:
Far West Super G Finals | April 11ā14
Watch young speedsters burn it down the hill in this elite racing showdown. Youāll want a front-row view (and maybe a cowbell or two).
ā·ļø Location: Main LodgeHonky Tonk on the Hill | April 11ā12
Cowboy hats + ski boots = chaos. Swing by The Mill for live country jams, beer specials, and a mechanical bull that may or may not break your pride.AprĆØs at Canyon Lodge | April 18
DJs spinning from a gondola car, sunshine, and spring brews? Yes please. Happens Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30ā5:00 PM.Caldera Burn | April 19
Feeling spicy? Test your lungs with this grueling uphill skin race starting at The Mill. Bragging rights included.š Annual Pond Skim | April 20
The crown jewel of spring skiing ridiculousness. Costumed skiers launch themselves across an icy pond while hundreds cheer (and secretly hope for a splash). The afterparty? Unmissable.
š ļø 3 Tips for Storing Your Ski Gear Like a Pro
Donāt just toss your skis in a dusty garage corner. Give āem some TLC:
Clean āem up:
Wipe off all the dirt, road salt, and spring slush gunk. Dry boots completely to avoid mold.Wax on, wax off:
Give your bases a thick coat of storage wax. No scraping! Let it protect your gear through the summer heat.Cool & Dry:
Skip the garage sauna. Store gear in a temperature-controlled closet or under the bed if you must. No sun, no moisture.
Your gear will thank you in November when itās still looking crispy š

This epic Mt. Baldy bike ride is the Tour de France of SoCal. Mark your fall calendar now.š„¾ Trail Time in the San Gabriels
Lace up your boots, hit the PCT, or find a hidden alpine lake. Weāll be your trail buddy.š Surf-to-Summit Weekends
Itās only in SoCal you can surf in the morning and hike a mountain by sunset. Weāll show you how to pack both into one epic day.
Weāll be back once a week with tips, itineraries, gear picks, and stories from the roadāer, trail. Because off-season? Thatās just code for different gear, same stoke.
āļø Big Lesson?
Ski season might end. But the adventure? Never.
š§ Proverb of the Month:
āIf you can't ski it, bike it. If you can't bike it, hike it. If you can't hike it, raft it. But always chase the mountain.ā
